Monster of the Day #3332

The artist clearly has a type. Looking at the covers, you’ll see this is came out before the previous one. This is #9, the other #13.

The details defining the woman on both covers are different. #13 has more shadows on the body, and her eyes look almost pure white. It might have been redrawn, but it’s almost definitely a swipe, with a bit heavier hand on the inking.

It’s kind of interesting, really. No doubt the repetition done so that the artist can move on to the next project that needed done. Probably expecting more focus on the Unimaginable Terror in the background than what was looming in the foreground.

Though the artist clearly liked what was looming in the foreground. Am I right or am I right?

Don’t we all have a ‘type’? Good thing I wasn’t the artist:

‘Mister Gamera, why does every cover in the last six months feature an Asian lady in a cowboy hat!??!’

‘Coincidence?’

Wouldn’t it be great if every single cover, year after year, featured that same blonde making that same expression to another beastie?

Nah, was a Wednesday that felt like a Monday for me. Walked into a patient room wearing two separate pairs of glasses pushed up on top of my head at one point (reading and computer, which tells you my age pretty well). I was *not* ready to come back to the office this morning.

When I was wandering around with two glasses I decided it was time to stop . . . oh, you mean eyeglasses.
