Watch Party tonight!

Join us tonight for our final Watch Party of 2022! 9:00 EST, per usual. I was looking for something bad and Christmasy–I’ll have to ask GalaxyJane, she’s a girl and thus must watch all those Hallmark Christmas romance deals–but stumbled across something that looked pretty promising. Will it suck the way we want, or will it suck in that other way that gets everyone raging at me? Either way, I win.

    I hope it’s not another horrible Krampus movie….

    I did watch ‘Silent Night, Deadly Night II’ back near Halloween as my slasher craving. Pretty good movie though I’d call it black comedy more than horror. That was going to be my horrible Christmas movie for this year. Ah heck, what’s one more though?

    Yeah, I’d seen “Garbage Day!” long before I finally watched that movie, and that scene makes a lot more sense when you realize it’s indeed much more comedy than horror (other than the recap of the original movie, which was pretty bleak). Then there’s the third movie which is just…meh.

  • God I love that movie. It’s half decent slasher, half gonzo whatever the hell it is. Has the best off-screen teleportation, too. Really. It’s a movie. A real movie.

    I hope everyone gets to enjoy a good horrible movie.

    Talking good and horrible, some of you may want to take a gander at the trailers for some new show called ‘Dance Monsters’ on YouTube. Yeah, it’ll be on Netflix, but the way they’re using motion capture in it is pretty amazing. Makes me wonder how much better that tech will get.

    The acting was generally awful but I can get past that. The sloppy plotting is what really put me off. It’s like they filmed a bunch of scenes and then threw together a loose plot to try and hang them together.

    The title was ‘Bad, Black, and Beautiful’ or something like that. I can’t remember the title either.
    It was the most milquetoast black explortation film I’ve ever seen.

    Sorry I missed the movie. I was packing for my holiday trip home and it completely slipped my mind. Sounds like I missed a movie that exists, though, so maybe it’s for the best.
