Monster of the Day #3410

Another great Watch Party on Friday, we watched the still not really finished Grizzly II: The Revenge.

I leave on Thursday for Dallas, so we’ll be radio silent for a week. I’ll be back by Wednesday or Thursday next week. If I can rouse the energy upon my return we’ll do another Watch Party a week from Friday. Meanwhile, I really look forward to seeing some of you (although not as many as I’d like) in person this weekend.

Warning: This poster makes The Lost Continent (not the Hammer one) look slightly more exciting than it actually is.

  • The main problem with Grizzly 2, beyond the obvious, was that it really should have ripped more off from Jaws 2. Though I will say the right bits were taken from Jaws 2

  • I wouldn’t hold the rifle that way if I were you….

  • Gamera977

If the lady on the left were a bit more busty (okay, a lot more busty) I’d swear she were Tura Satana.

BTW there’s a new Tura Satana action figure coming out. Think I’ll skip this one, I’ve got way too dirty a mind to own one…

  • Gamera977

I’ve got to go with you guys one year.

I’m a bit afraid it will disabuse me of the picture in my mind that Sandy lives in a secret volcano lair and spends his time sitting in a large overstuffed arm chair stroking Brown Jenkin in his lap while cackling manically…

    Poster needs more rock climbing.

  • Killer Meteor

Even the American poster felt the need to stick a T-rex on it, despite being a no-show in the movie.

And neither of the ladies gets to go up to the treehouse….I mean plateau, in the actual movie!

Never meet your idols. The reality is always a letdown. XD

  • Actually, T-Fest was a blast. Felt like I’d been going for years. Hopefully my life can rearrange itself so I can go again this year.

I meant my comment as mostly a joke. Everyone knows what grand fellows Ken and Sandy are.

Glad to hear that you got to see them in the flesh and watched movies together. Maybe one day I’ll get to visit.

  • Rodford Smith

That looks more like any of several post-WWII submachine guns. Most of them were in 9mm Luger.
