Monster of the Day #3409

That’s a nice poster, although oddly a bit light on Godzilla. This was my first Godzilla movie, though, so I definitely imprinted on it.

Happy (long) weekend! Watch something stupid. Hell, watch something stupid at our Watch Party tonight.

See some of you in Texas next week.

  • It’s my first G film, too. So yeah, imprinted.

    Kumi Mizuno seal of approval.

  • Rock Baker

I have the German poster for this movie hanging proudly in my home. Not the one posted earlier, but the photo one which has Godzilla towering over Kumi in the same pose she has here. I’m quite fond of it, even if the title is FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MONSTER FROM THE SEA….

To everyone at the watch party, I hope you have a fun time!

  • It was one of the last of the Showa I saw, and I loved it to death. Maybe the third best of the era.

  • thunderclancat

One of my favorites, with the three monsters (Godzilla, Ebirah, and Mothra) and an intriguing plot involving the missing boater, his brother and pals trying to rescue him, and the Red Bamboo villains.

  • Ken_Begg

*THREE* monsters? How can you forget the Giant Condor?! The entire film falls apart without him?

  • That poor dumb bird shuffled off this mortal coil thinking “I was promised to meet King Kong!”

  • Gamera977

So Godzilla was the real reason the California Condor was an endangered species?

  • Oh, Gamera, he’s the reason a lot of species are endangered.
