Blu-Ray junk starts appearing…

It’s nice to see such stuff already making itself known on Blu-Ray disc. And here’s a bargain example at the moment (albeit a fairly high grade of junk), as Amazon is selling the Paul Naschy double bill of Night of the Werewolf and Vengeance of the Zombies for only $11.50, quite a bit off the $30 MSRP. Each film is apparently on its own disc. These are provided by BCI/Eclipse, who have put out a lot of similarly high-quality presentations of previously obscure and hard to find Euro-horrors. So it certainly doesn’t hurt to support them. Here’s some reviews of the regular DVD releases of both Night of the Werewolf and Vengeance of the Zombies..

Werewolf is a fairly recent remake of his old Werewolf vs. the Vampire Women, and it’s nicely done. The production values are certainly a bit higher than for some of Naschy’s earlier films. Vengeance is a quite decent Satanism flick with Naschy playing three roles, including that of the Devil.
