It’s been awhile since I promoted The Greatest Movie Ever Made, but since there’s a fan subtitled copy on YouTube, let’s turn our eyes again on Ship of Monsters. Dammit, why didn’t K. Gordan Murray bring this up north. Not because I’d have liked a dubbed version (although Murray dubs are so hilarious they’re some of the only ones I would still watch), but because it he had I’m sure the sadly defunct CasaNegra would have put out one of their amazing DVDs of it. Anyway, if you haven’t seen it, WATCH IT. If you have, WATCH IT AGAIN. It’s great.

    Talking bad movies, folks here might want to check out ‘Beaster Day’ AKA ‘Here Comes Peter Cottonhell’ on YouTube. Only glanced at it myself but believe me, the title says it all.

    Throwing in another vote for SEE IT NOW. When Ken says it’s the greatest movie ever made…he’s not wrong. The fact that the lead is the comic relief and is not only charming but actually funny is reason enough to watch it, but awesome goofy monsters (except Zok who’s just pure magic) and gorgeous women and one of the all-time great screen robots and fun songs and risque jokes in ostensibly a kids’ movie and THE GREATEST CLOSING SHOT IN HISTORY…really, this is like Super Inframan in that you really can’t oversell it. In fact, this has made me want to rewatch it, and I am totally going to tonight.

    I think he was actually saying something to te effect that she was a disgusting human, but that turned him on. And yes they did start making out.
