Monster of the Day #3015

The Cult Cinema Classics channel on YouTube has been on another tear lately. They don’t exclusively post horror/sci-fi (today’s posts are Fairbanks’ silent The Black Pirate, Jose Ferrer’s Oscar-winning turn as Cyrano de Bergerac, and the Vincent Price noir-ish thriller Shock), but they do put them on waves. In the last four days or so they’ve posted Phantom of 10,000 Leagues (above), the original Not of this Earth, I Bury the Living, Carnival of Souls, Giant Claw, Ruby and Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster. All are worth a look to various degrees.

    ‘Rawr, I’m a monstar!!!’

I watched ‘The Medusa Touch’ over the weekend. Pretty friggin’ good film. Only question I had was- would it have been that hard to sedate the hell outta Burton’s character while he was in the hospital? I’m assuming his power only worked while he was conscious.

‘I still can’t believe I got knocked out of consideration for the lead in Gojira due to those ‘me too’ allegations from Mothra…’

    I’m still alive.

I love that in “Braineater”‘s recap of this movie he recognized that among the movie’s main characters were Ted Baxter and Mr. Grant.

That guy looks a lot like one of the horrors from Party Beach.

That’s exactly what I thought, too. I guessed wrong.
