Monster of the Day #1870

Some actors fit in with the whole Muppet thing more naturally than others.

  • Beckoning Chasm

David Bowie clearly wanted to be a movie star, and never quite got there. I’d feel sorry for him, you know, if he (and his estate) weren’t worth hundreds of millions of dollars. He must have really suffered, man.

Speaking of kids’ films, if you’ve ever wanted to see what “Alice in Wonderland” would look like if David Lynch directed it, check out “Alice,” a 1988 film by Czech animator Jan Svankmajer. “Weird” doesn’t begin to describe it.

  • Marsden

    He’s better than Sting.

  • Ericb

    or Madonna

  • Again, Bowie. Great job here. Everyone else, great job. Just didn’t care for the film.

  • I maintain that The Man Who Fell To Earth is autobiographical…

  • Beckoning Chasm

I can’t think of another actor who could have done the role so well.

  • Flangepart

“Jim, you and your Muppet lot are a bunch of raving nutters. I love it!”

  • Eric Hinkle

That’s not setting the bar very high.

  • Rodford Smith

_The Muppet Show_ frequently had guests who were weirder than any of the Muppets. :-)
