Monster of the Day #1819

Worst surgical technique ever.

Stop fighting, boys! There’s enough of me for BOTH of you!

The DCEU version of the Three Stooges never found the audience it needed.

So is the monster in the middle going to be literally ‘disarmed’?

    Sorry :(

    Big sai of relief.

This one I know. The Thai film THE SEVEN ULTRA BROTHERS VS THE MONSTER ARMY. This still doesn’t remotely indicate how wacky this picture was!

It’s Thai? That explains why the guy on the right looks like something from Southeast Asian art.

Today’s monster, standing between Ultraman and Hanuman, is perennial favorite Gomora, who I would consider one of the top Ultra-Monsters based on the regularity with which he has returned, including being the hero’s main monster in the “Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle” series of shows and movies, which sounds like it’s Pokemon with giant monsters (still need to see that). I think only Eleking and Red King, and maybe the Baltans, have shown up more often. Much like Red King, he’s a monster with no laser beams or fire breath or anything; he’s just extremely strong and resilient, so much so it took Ultraman two episodes to defeat him. The “UGMMB” version apparently has an energy weapon, and in The Seven Ultra Brothers vs. the Monster Army they gave him a whole bunch of weird powers he’s never had before or since.

This is probably him looking his worst; the suit for The Seven Ultra Brothers vs. the Monster Army wasn’t quite up to snuff.

    Ughhhh! (In other words, congratulations!)

    A three way Thai.

Part of a handful of films made in Thailand featuring Japanese properties mixed with characters from Thai mythology with reckless abandon. It’s certainly a colorful genre!
