Monster of the Day #1806

This poster was also used in Japan for some reason.

  • Beckoning Chasm

Well, all those elements are kind of in the movie…except for the spooky old castle. Guess they felt the image wasn’t balanced without it.

    The Green Slime ?

  • Gamera977

Cushing wasn’t in ‘The Green Slime’. I was thinking ‘Island of Terror’ but I’m far from sure.

  • “Island of Terror” it is! That’s a Danish poster, btw….. (Thank you, Google Translate)

  • Rock Baker

What a wonderful science fiction epic. The sequence where various weapons are tested on the silicates starting with the smallest and working up to the more powerful is pitch perfect.

  • The Rev.

Yeah, it’s one of those genre films that I don’t think gets enough love.

  • The Rev.

The “snout” on the blob in the drawing there was all I needed to make the correct guess on what movie this was for.

Yeah, I’ve watched this one a few times…

  • Gamera977

Lol, it was the tentacles and the axe in the NW corner that gave me the idea this might be what it was.

  • Beckoning Chasm

It’s one of my favorites. The only major flaw is the creature effects. The design is great, but they look like stiff rubber. Terrific sound effects though.

  • The Rev.

I’m a softie for rubber beasties, so I find them charming. But yeah, the sound effects are great.
