This basic image was featured when we featured the now 25-volume Archives of Chilling Horror covers (where the die cut of this is spectacular).

Still, this particular cover is so great. I think it holds with the very best of the EC covers. Great work.

Beckoning Chasm

It’s a great looking cover, but it doesn’t make sense. Apparently, they’re both skeletons, so why does she look like a normal person, except through wine? It would make sense if she looked normal through the wine but was otherwise a skeleton.

When a skeleton “drinks” wouldn’t the liquid just run through his rib cage and dribble onto the floor? I wouldn’t even call that “renting.”
