    OT: Sorry to post this, but I’ve got to say something and this is one of the few places I know where folks are mostly sane.

    Annnnnd over at my favorite tabletop RPG site they just announced
    that ‘the personal is the political’ is their new chief design
    philosophy. Therefor all their future publications must advance The
    Cause. Why do I get the feeling that I just heard someone put a loaded gun to their head and pull the trigger?

    Seriously, guys? LoTR is not some lecture about Tolkien’s cismale white male
    privilege. Orcs are not downtrodden third worlders. Please keep your
    political feces out of our innocent fantasy games.

  • I learned computing on one of those. My high school got one back when the PC was a new thing. Cassette tapes and everything.

    Yeah, the good old days, back when we were sure we needed to know BASIC to succeed in life…. :(

    In my case it was a TRS-80 at school and a Commodore 64 at home.
