Monster of the Day #1472

Another venerable tradition observed.

Oh, no not Tokyo Tower again!!!

    (Scroll to bottom) oh…..

BTW: I’m guessing aliens were responsible for the giant insects, arachnids, etc and the artist didn’t just add the saucers just for the halibut?

    Horror in Paris

Could they narrow that down a bit?

  • Eric Hinkle

Yeah, the Martians enlarged Earth insects and arachnids and set them on humanity for, well, for the heck of it, I guess.

  • bgbear_rnh

You don’t expect them to enlarge Martian insects do you? That would be nuts.

  • Gamera977

Thanks Eric. Gee, cattle mutilations, anal probes, the Nazca lines, and now enlarging insects just for fun?

HEY ALIENS GET A FRIGGIN’ LIFE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!

  • Gamera977

Paris was called ‘a movable feast’ by someone wasn’t it?

  • Beckoning Chasm

This is my recollection of the cards…I have a (reprinted) set somewhere. A handful of cards showing Martians butchering humans, then way, way too many giant insects. Still Norman Brown (I think) could draw pretty well.

  • Eric Hinkle

Well, one friend of mine described the movie version of ‘Mars Attacks’ as ‘Martian Spring Break’.

  • Eric Hinkle

Martians butchering humans, then giant bugs butchering humans, and then humans butchering Martians right before we blow the entire planet Mars up. Those cards were insane!
