Monster of the Day #1353

Man, I loves me some skeletons.

  • Wait, there’s skeletons on this cover?

  • Gamera977

I’m a little confused by the skull and open ribcage on the skelly on the left contrasted with his meaty arms, hands, legs, and feet. Did the artist think a human skeleton rots from the head down like the saying about fish?

  • Ericb

    You tell’em Vi.!

  • bgbear_rnh

C’mon, now she is alive? She is the one who kept going on about Tom Stewart.

  • CaptNemo

Next scene shows Mr. Miyagi jumping in to save the day. The Cobra Kai had one helluva Halloween that night didn’t they?

  • Eric Hinkle

My but these skeletons look downright jolly. I can only suppose they thought they’d have to deal with some meddling kids like they did on those DC ghost comic covers rather than a lovely blonde, and found the surprise delightful.

  • Flangepart

    NOW I see the book title…my bad…

For those interested, tonight on TCM starting at 8 they’re going to have a Roger Corman/AIP marathon with the following films:

8 PM — PIT AND THE PENDULUM

9:30 – “X” THE MAN WITH THE X-RAY EYES (starring Ray Milland and Don Rickles, of all people?)

    11 – DEMENTIA 13

    12:30 – BLACK SABBATH

2:30 – THE COMEDY OF TERRORS

4:15 – MASTER OF THE WORLD

  • Luke Blanchard

    They’re aggressive used coffins salesmen.

  • Beckoning Chasm

Actually, the face on the left looks like a mask. You can almost see eyes inside the eye-holes. I’m betting this is “elaborate insurance scheme” and they’re not really skeletons after all.

  • bgbear_rnh

The interviews with Corman are well worth it.
