Monster of the Day #1287

I can’t believe I’ve never featured these guys, but better safe than sorry.

    Ben’s brother Reilly Grimm?

  • Flangepart

“Slime-on, Slime on harvest moon, up in the sky.
Hu-mans, I’ll be killin’ thru January, February, June and July…”

  • Beckoning Chasm

I think I may have seen him here before…but hey, why not?

Considering the possibilities, this movie was surprisingly dull.

  • Rock Baker

Ah, THE SLIME PEOPLE! One of those titles that sounds simply irresistible to a monster movie-obsessed kid!

  • Flangepart

Who then gets weirded out by things that later, as an adult, lead him to Mystery Science Theater 3000.

  • The Rev.

I’ve never seen this; the general consensus doesn’t have me rushing to change that, either. At some point, though, I’m sure I’ll see the MST3K version.

I have a bit of affection for this film, but I saw it a lot when I was a kid. The last time I saw it, a long long time ago, I remember being shocked mostly by the posted meat prices in the butcher shop the characters hide in.

I’d say it’s probably about on the level of Crawling Hand.

Hi Ken, this may be off topic, but I cannot seem to find your awesome review for Peter Benchley’s “THE BEAST” on your new website. And for some reason, its being blocked on your old .com site. can you please re-post? Its my favorite review

  • Ken_Begg

You have great taste! Surely the reason you think it’s so awesome is that I didn’t write it. (No, I’m not being snide. I think that’s a valid criteria.) That was on of Doug Milroy’s. Wonder what he’s up to these days.

I’ll try to port that over this weekend.

Ahhh..i always figured it was a penname for you for tax reasons or some such. If its any consolation, I like you better than the nostalgia critic..does that help?

  • Gamera977

Wait? All the other reviewers here aren’t Ken’s multiple personalities??? ;)

ALL OF MY ILLUSIONS HAVE BEEN SHATTERED! REALITY IS A LIE! LIFE HAS NO MEANING! GHOSTHOUSE AND ZOMBIE LAKE ARE STERLING EXAMPLES OF THEIR SUBGENRES AND EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH THEM! IT’S A MAD HOUSE, A MAD HOUSE!

I’ll be accepting my Oscar, Emmy, and Gold Medal for Olympic Overacting any day now, I’m sure…

As those who have met me can attest, I barely have one personality, much less multiple ones.
