Monster of the Day #944

Despite his rash boasts, Guilala couldn’t handle the Gigantis the Fire Monster’s Five Alarm Chili.

Yup, I expected this next. The sequence with this beastie was probably the highlight of the movie. Too bad it came about halfway through.

Okay…what film, and what part of Japan got toasted?

  • The Rev.

Yesterday and today are both from Yamato Takeru. I don’t remember where it was located in Japan; it’s set during feudal times (although you wouldn’t think so if you saw the other giant monster from this movie, which I imagine Ken has lined up for tomorrow), and as far as I recall no cities, or even villages, are destroyed. Orochi is confronted out in the middle of nowhere. This thing lives in a volcano, as you might imagine, and is fought there.

Feudal times? So their version of G-Force is a bunch of samurai?

  • Flangepart

AH! I think I saw this many moons ago. Lots of weird a$$ fights and behavior. Typical Japanese stuff, don’t ‘cha know.
