I posted a brief look at this movie a while back, so the pics have appeared here, but not as MotDs.

Here we see Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller again, who also appeared as Jungle Jim in the previously), looking on at a rarescreen projection of the MUCH-reused ‘dinosaur’ fight from One Million B.C. Man, I’d like a buck for every time this footage was used somewhere. It also appears in the Jungle Jim movie Jungle Manhunt, whence the proto-Gorn from yesterday appeared.

    They should put in some parking so Tarzan can watch from the comfort of his own elephant.

    Yes, said footage has become a cinematic tradition. I’d like to make a black and white dinosaur movie at some point, just so I can use the footage and keep the tradition alive!

    Where do you hang the speaker on an elephant?

    Or they could add a small pond so it could be a “Dive-In Theater”. Maybe add a crocodile for Tarzan to wrestle during the intermission ;)

    I figured you could hang the speaker on the elephant’s ear.

    And good idea on the ‘Dive-In Theater’ but I hope Tarzan doesn’t splash Boy’s popcorn and Rasinets getting them all wet and soggy.

    Someone should do a scene with internationally bad CGI of a alligator fighting a monitor lizard.

    They could simply rotoscope the 1940 footage. I’d pay to see that pop up in a Disney/Pixar movie!
