Monster of the Day #830

Ugh, Italian Discos of the ’70s.

  • Eric Hinkle

What movie is this, and what are they supposed to be? mellow werewolves?

  • Flangepart

    The Village Yetis.

  • Ericb

Is that a tear I see on the one on the right? Are the Chinese littering in the land of the Yeti?

  • bgbear_rnh

The first concepts of the GEICO metrosexual cavemen did not go over well.

  • Gamera977

‘Hello ladies, we’re the Adorable Snowmen- you’ve yeti to see our disco powers…’

  • That’s snow devil, that’s my brother!

(I can’t believe I recognized this I’ve only seen it once.)

  • Rock Baker

THE SNOW DEVILS, the most earth-bound of the four Gamma movies. Man, I love those films!

  • Gamera977

Ahh, the only one of the series I haven’t seen…

  • Eric Hinkle

??? The four Gamma movies? I’ll have to go scrounge around on Wikipedia; I ever even heard of them before.

  • Rock Baker

    WAR OF THE PLANETS
    THE WILD, WILD PLANET
WAR BETWEEN THE PLANETS (aka PLANET ON THE PROWL)
    THE SNOW DEVILS

And just where is the official boxed set for these things already?!!!

  • Eric Hinkle

I actually think I MAY have seen some of those now, but it would have been a long time ago.

  • Flangepart

    Ah, Spagetti-in-spaaaace!
Loved those flicks. Unabashed space opera, and I-tralians know opera. So there be a forth film lurking about…hummm!

  • Rock Baker

Ken has suggested THE GREEN SLIME may even be included as an unofficial fifth entry, given the film featured some of the same behind-the-camera technicians.

  • Eric Hinkle

Hmm, I thought that THE GREEN SLIME was more of a Japanese film?

  • Rock Baker

It does an amazing job of capturing the feel and flavor of all three countries involved. Truly a unique and wonderful pulp adventure movie.
