Monster of the Day #768

Man, that’s just friggin’ gorgeous.

  • Flangepart

    Ah, Tarzan’s not a nightmare, except to…oh, wait…

  • Ericb

It was classy of Tarzan to have shaved and lathered on the Brylcreem before he went out dinosaur hunting.

  • Gamera977

When you’re Lord of the Jungle you have to look your best!

  • Gamera977

Can you ever go wrong with a T-rex? I’d be awesome to do a dinosaur themed wedding!

Wait, does this have anything to do with the fact that I’m still single?

  • bgbear_rnh

This kind of scene always makes me think that if T-rex was still around they wouldn’t be some super-monster but, just another predator that had to be dealt with from time to time.

The program to re-introduce T-Rex into Yellowstone Park today is under criticism today when a local rancher shot and killed a juvenile Rex the ranchers claimed was killing his cattle. Wildlife officials noticed the tracking signal from the collar. . .

  • Ericb

You know, while movie try to portray dinosaurs as super predators I’d bet that if they were really brought back into the contemporary world they’s have a difficult time adapting. The mammalian prey available would be generally smarter and more social than what a T-Rex was adapted for. A T-Rex vs. a herd of elephants or rhinos wouldn’t necessarily go well for the dinosaur.

  • Rock Baker

That’s a weirdly forward-thought Tyrannosaurus. He’s leaning in the direction of modern dinosaurs that have no muscle or fat between their skulls and skin. He’s not there fully, of course, but he’s closer than most dinosaurs of the day (which, for my money, looked better anyway).

  • Flangepart

Who’s to say they were not weight sensitive? During mating season, a fat headed T-Rex might not get lucky.
Why do I suddenly feel my ears burning?…

  • Rock Baker

I think if I were a dinosaur in mating season, I’d be more worried about looking drained and lifeless like the modern take usually is! Dinosaurs nowadays just look diseased!

  • Eric Hinkle

The heck with modern revisions, this is the real Tarzan and that’s a REAL T-Rex there!

  • Sandy Petersen

I beg to differ. A tyrannosaur would devastate a herd of elephants in no time.
