Chad R wasn’t available for the Watch Party, since he was attending a pro midget wrestling event. Presumably one of the participants turned out to be a small werewolf or vampire. I had a few options set up, and oddly Chad seemed interested in the (probably) most awful one. So I put that aside and went safe, going with the remarkably stupid Ghosthouse. Kudos to Sandy Petersen, by the way. Once we were watching it and I asked him if there the cast of characters here were the dumbest ever. He paused briefly and answered, “No, Burial Ground.” And I couldn’t gainsay him. I will note that’s another Italian movie, though.
This is the sort of thing where lots and lots and lots happens but none of it really ties together. Elements are stolen willy-nilly from other, better horror films without worrying if any of it hung together. It’s definitely one of those fever dream movies, and features a lot of charmingly terrible acting. It’s on YouTube.
