Eureka has put out a very nice set of krimis, one of which was the daffy The Mad Executioners. They are a star chambers in *cough, cough* England who “try” and execute murders who have evaded the law. (When, presumably, not judging Baron Vitelius d’Estera.) They always steal the same historic executioner’s rope from Scotland Yard for their sentences, which doesn’t help the cops look any brighter. This is good enough, but then the movie takes a hard turn into an even goofier subplot at the end of the movie. Just great stuff.
