Monster of the Day #3309

Ah, we all fondly remember Zack Snyder's Zombie Babies. Actually, the Dawn of the Dead remake was pretty decent. However, I haven't heard a lot of great things about that zombie heist movie he made for Netflix. So as usual, action / horror directors seem to get worse as they get older.

Not nearly as scary as yesterday's robotic tot, the previous killer baby champion* was clearly the tyke(s) from Larry Cohen's It's Alive trilogy. The funniest is still the obliquely homicidal infant from The Devil Within Her, though. Man, I wish that was available for an Amazon Watch Party. *I'm not including the chestburster alien…

FoJ Kirk D (whose wife Patty is one of the great people you'll ever meet, excepts she absolutely adores the Twilight series, books and movies) nominates this, noting "The animatronic baby they made for Twilight was too creepy to use in the movie." So we partially watched Witchery, an Italian supernatural demon/old dark house flick starring Linda Blair and David Hasselhoff. I can't remember why we stopped watching it. Bad disc? Anyway, I was pretty logy that day, so memories are failing. Next I showed Superstition, because Arthur, Sandy's son, really likes witch movies. It's basically a…

Next up was 1990's The Laughing Dead. It's an independent vanity project about undead Aztecs or something. I can't really remember all that much about it, which I think sums it up. The acting was generally pretty amateur hour. Honestly, I don't even remember this lizard guy, so that shows you how much the…
