Sometimes you can’t win….

So I went to see Shirobako the Movie on Tuesday. While in the theater I heard it raining pretty hard for a short while. It had stopped by the movie got out, so I didn't think anything of it. When I got home, though, the power was out. And it stayed out for much…

Lots of Fathom Events this month….

With the studios doing all they can to hasten the deaths of theaters (they'll be sorry later), we are at least just starting to see more non-traditional programming step up. Fathom Events is offering a lot of stuff this month, all appearing for a day or two at local theaters. Check out their website…

When I saw this cover, I really assumed it was a modern piece meant to replicate the feel of an old cover. To my surprise, this is actually a comic book cover from 1951.
