Gamera mentioned Oily Maniac the other day, which from this still looks like the proto-Toxic Avenger. I was only vaguely aware of it, as I’ve seen it recommended in my Amazon Prime queue. However, now seeing that it is a Shaw Brothers film from 1976–all practical effects–makes me really want to watch it. Thanks, Gamera!
