I imagine most of us prefer art posters, but man, that there is one great photo poster.

Speaking of films that look better in the poster, here's the Japanese art for Giant Spider Invasion. (!) I wonder if this is a cinema poster or a home video cover? I think it's funny that it reached Japan in either way, but could it possibly have played in theaters?

I guess I'm not surprised that Japan knows how to sell a giant monster film, but man, this does not reflect what I know about this movie. If this was an accurate poster, I would have been there first day buying my ticket.

We'll see if the niece wants to make it to a third movie (after a dinner break), and if she does, what she makes of this. Frankly, if she bails and I can get her back home in time--it's a bit of a hike--I'll probably instead try to make that evening's showing of Sound!…
