Monster of the Day #1568

Monster of the Day #1568

This reminds me of the fight with Harryhausen's walrus. Again, monsters have been fairly light on the ground in the Marvel movies, although there's enough fantasy stuff in it to feature some briefly. Sadly, no Fin Fang Foom or anything, yet. Well, Groot, but he's a good guy now, and not nearly as giant.

The Rev’s B-Fest Diary 2017 Part 1

Hello, all.  It's your friendly neighborhood Rev. here to tell you about B-Fest 2017.  Much like the last time I did this, I'll be providing a travelogue of sorts, full of restaurant opinions as well as a rundown of the fest itself and anything else that I fancy may make for interesting reading.…

Monster of the Day #1563

Monster of the Day #1563

OK, same basic plot as yesterday's film. Indeed, the producer really liked this plot and used it several other times as well. Not as much as Herman Cohen's go-to "Teen (or chimp) is turned into a monster by the authority figure meant to help him" trope, but plenty of times nonetheless. The advantage of…

Monster of the Day #1562

This poster promises a monster far more elaborate than the one in the film, but to be fair, there's some nudity and lots of violence, so I doubt audiences of the time were disappointed.
