Monster of the Day #910

Toho is notoriously stingy on giving up the rights to their properties. Hopefully they like the new movie enough to authorize / sell the rights to another of the classic monsters for the sequel. If nothing else, they would make a ton off the merchandise rights, so it's really in their interest.

Man, that's nothing but awesome right there. Again, I don't know why DC or Marvel or just someone adapting public domain comics doesn't do a series for SyFy adapting all these crazy stories. It would be better than 95% of their stuff. Here's the equally fantastic interior splash page:
