Well, it’s the week of the Godzilla convention here in Chicagoland, although the movies actually being shown at the Pickwick Theatre here feature but one Godzilla film. At least it’s a goodie, Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, my favorite of the newer G movies. Other than that, we’ve got the original Mothra, three Gamera movies and an Ultraman picture.
Thursday’s the big day, four movies playing on a giant theater screen. Good times. For what it’s worth, Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster was (sadly) the first Godzilla movie I ever saw in a theater, and I indeed saw it at the Pickwick as a youngster, there’s there’s some continuity there, anyway.
