The rumor is they are bringing back "The Doomsday Machine."

I guess the upside of that is they are not focusing on megalomaniacs who want revenge on The Federation this time around.

I think we have had just about our bellyful of that.

You might get your wish. The rumor is that Shatner is going to appear in the third sequel to the Star Trek reboot

Shatner is denying it, of course. But Nimoy said he was done playing Spock before "Into Darkness." So that doesn't mean spit to me.
