Also...howcome cloths can be 'dehydrated' even if they contain no water?

Ah, but when Megamind dehydrated himself, he also further dehydrated the dehydrated cube archivist. Thus when the dehydrated dehydrated cube hit water, it returned to being just a dehydrated cube.

I'm sure my No Prize is in the mail even as we speak.

Maybe it's not a proper 'dehydration' per sey, but that term is as close as Megamind can come to explaining the process.

Unfortunately, the technobabble in kids' movies is never really believable because, well, how are the kiddies supposed to know anyways. My 9yo has been watching Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs a lot lately so I happened to pay a bit more attention to that sort of thing. Essentially, the machine doohickey takes water, changes its DNA (??!!!) to match that of the programmed food product. Best to just go with it and enjoy the jokes and visuals, and save your head a serious banging against the wall.

I've been accused of doing things I didn't do, but would have- if I'd'a thought about 'em first.
